I have a group of friends in the Negev desert right now and they’re all riding in a caravan of old Land Rovers. But every one of them is posting on their social media that they’re riding around in “cool looking Jeeps” and it’s taking everything in me to restrain from commenting on all of them with corrections

Lots of 4x4 across the world are refereed to Jeeps, like all tissue paper is called Kleenex.

My parents went to Israel right before I was born. They have since told me how much I would’ve enjoyed it because “We went on an off-road tour in old Defender 110s.”

It’s really no surprise that I turned out the way I did.

I’m not as good at Defenders as I am with Series, but interiors + one-piece doors + lights mean these are probably somewhere in the ‘95-’97 bracket. I think.
